I always loved going on our house roof as a kid too!  So...I guess they don't come from nowhere!

Funny thing is.....he got stuck and needed a hand from his older brother to get down!

I was tempted to take the ladder away though!

I finally have flowers surviving on the deck.  I have been trying for years to keep them alive but I keep killing them.

So...when they do survive and I get hummingbirds....I get my camera!

Matthew Grad Trip
June 21-23

The last bit of elementary school is here for Matthew!  The grad trip.

Dave got to go along!

....Matthew came home and crashed....

FOR A LONG TIME!!!

Too tired to eat breakfast the next morning even!

Not impressed that he had to go to school the next morning.

I can say that it is not wise to have a grad trip from a Monday to Thursday and then expect these tired kids to go to school on the Friday....although, it probably was a nice quiet morning for the teacher 😊

He eventually woke up....

That afternoon he opened his grad gift!

Nicole's Birthday Party

Nicole wanted a few friends over to go to the beach, eat fish and chips and have cake afterwards!

So that's what we did.

We made 'watermelon' cakes....

Made them look pretty....

And had a few girls to hang out with on the beach...

Leanne, Kelian, Nikki, Claire and Kari

Crescent Beach was pretty deserted so they had the volleyball net to themselves.

Dave and I enjoyed the quiet beach watching Nicole and her friends have fun!

Oh, and then he went to get the fish and chips too.

Lots of hanging out and chatting.
