Today we went to Eric & Jaclyn's.  We had no kids this morning so we had a relaxing breakfast with Mom & Dad and then made our way to get the boys from Karen & Jeff's before heading out to Eric & Jaclyn's.  Man are we ever doing a lot of driving.  No one lives anywhere near each other and it's always at least 20 minutes to the next sibling's house.  I had forgotten how much driving everyone does in Orangeville.  We had a fabulous lunch at Eric's.  He's an amazing cook and we were not disappointed.  It's so casual there.  The kids had a blast playing out in the snow and we had a drink, or two, in Eric's man cave in the garage that he's got all set up complete with a couch and a wood stove!

Oh, I also had to make an important phone call to Linda.  It was a Monday after all and that's our catch up on each other's lives day.......and we needed to catch up!

After our visit with Eric & Jaclyn we visited yet another aunt & uncle.  Uncle Jack & Aunt Henrietta.  While there the boys were treated with a little lesson on excavators.  Uncle Jack had an excavator on his property and the boys got to operate it!  This almost topped Matthew's visit to Grandpa's work!  The pictures are a little blurry and very dark but you'll get the idea of what went on.  They even got to do some digging!

I think Matthew's going to be talking to Uncle Jack one day.....

He did learn something important though.....what do you need to learn before you get to be the excavator operator?  Well, you need to learn to dig with a shovel first of course!

After visiting with Uncle Jack and Aunt Henrietta we went back to Dad and Mom`s for a quick dinner.  Joni had called to say that they were going to look at the Christmas lights with their boys and would we like to go along with our kids.  Dave, Matthew and Nicole were pretty tired, cold and ready to just stay home with Grandpa and Grandma but Jake and I went.  It was cute to see Jake with his little cousins.  Griffin just adores Jake and you would often hear him say, "Jake, look at this one, Jake come over here, Jake, Jake, Jake..."
You can't really see Griffin here but he was there!
