Skiing
March 18-20, 2015

And Marnix is ready to go....

...I nearly had a heart attack when I saw Marnix come out of the bathroom looking like this.  I think I laughed at my dad when he wore this fabulous outfit skiing too!
....and then we hit the slopes.

Marnix and Anne-Marie on the top of the world!

We were supposed to act silly....

...that's hard for us.
Best birthday gift ever!

To have my sister come skiing with me!
So fun to have Linda and Alexis tag along too.  What else would they do while Rod and Zeb gallivanted around England?
The Bullet Express...that took us up to the village.
....it must be lunch time!
It was so nice to be able to 'ski in/ski out' every day for lunch.  It would have been ski in/ski out if there was more snow but we were not complaining....that often that we had to walk a little bit.

Being able to have lunch in our cabin was super nice.  We could get out of our ski stuff, let it dry and really relax and get ready to ski hard for the rest of the day.

Nicole, not as crazy as her brothers but she holds her own pretty good!
Jake, no fear here!
Crazy Matthew got some serious air...not on this picture but he sure did another time!
We stayed in the 3rd last cabin.
It was my birthday!  Nicole and I made a cake before we left so we could celebrate in style!  Can't have a birthday without birthday cake!

....ahhhh, relaxing by the fire after a long day of skiing!
The view from our living room window.
We had crab for an appie before dinner!  It was a special treat for Marnix and I....gotta have a West Coast treat when you come to BC!
Our first day on the slopes was the only sunny one.  The last day was very snowy and foggy!  But we still had a great day on the slopes!
Matthew and Alexis really get along great!  They made this happy snowman after one of our days of skiing!
Matthew and Marnix went geo caching in Big White too!  They even found one on the mountain while skiing.
On the way up in the gondola!

Easiest way down....ha!  It was so foggy and windy this day that we couldn't get too far in front of each other because we would get separated easily....but we made it to the top of the Alpine T-bar.
More snowmen....compliments of Alexis and Matthew....and is that a beer can in the little ones hand?
....ahhhhh break time!
More games....dice.  Watch out Aunt Anne-Marie....Nicole might get you out before you even get started.  Oh wait, you sat on the other side of her so you can have a bit of revenge!
It started to snow after we came back in on the last day of skiing.  It snowed for a good part of the night and it looked so pretty outside.
Watch out!
Good thing I closed the door!
The drive out of Big White was a tad bit snowy!
It wasn't long before the weather cleared up a bit which made for easier driving.

....and it wasn't long before there was no snow at all!

When we got home the Camellia petals were all over the steps...from a really snowy morning to Camellia petals all in one day!

It was a fabulous ski trip made extra special this year by having Marnix and Anne-Marie join us!
