Canucks Open Practice - October 8, 2011

We found out that the Canucks have an open practice for their fans to come watch them for free! What a great opportunity to see the Canucks and not pay the price! It was at 10:00 on a Saturday morning........so, no sleeping in for us. We had to be on the road at 8:30ish and even managed to do it! We arrived in plenty of time and took some photos outside. I wasn't impressed to find out that the lens of my camera was too big according to NHL camera regulations and couldn't take my camera in the building. They put it nicely behind the counter for me, much to my dismay!

We knew other people there that had a camera though and I got some pictures from them! Thanks Ken, you did a fine job!

While we were waiting for the practice to begin........we had so much extra time after arriving so early...........we got to see Fin the Canucks mascot. The kids got signed Fin hockey cards and a chance to have a picture with Fin. Some nice lady in the line up took some pictures for us and emailed them to us the next day!

The boys really enjoyed watching their beloved Canucks and Nicole was very busy counting how many people were wearing pink shirts. She also noticed that there was a disco ball hanging from the ceiling! Oh the things you notice when you are bored. At least we know we don't have to spend any money on her for a hockey game!
