Hockey is here!

This year we have a lot of hockey to watch. Matthew started playing too. We had thought both Jake and Matthew would be on the same team but it was not to be. A new level was started in the league for the Grade 2 and 3 boys so Matthew is in D division and Jake is in C division. We were a bit disappointed at first, that they would not be playing together but it's really a good decision to have the smaller boys in a league of their own. So, pretty much every Friday evening and every Saturday afternoon/evening we spend our time in the arena. The schedule worked out very well and we are not driving all over the place to catch one boy's game or the other. I didn't go to Jake's evaluation night but did capture Matthew's.

Nicole doesn't always want to come along to hockey but there is always someone there to run around and socialize with. Here she is with classmates Kyleigh and Kelian. Who says hockey isn't fun for girls?

The boys looked so small and cute on the ice. I am sure that one day they will not like to be referred to as small and cute but for now it works. Matthew was so very excited to get on that ice.
