It was a cold, wet and rainy day. Not as rainy as last years run but pretty close. Linda and I headed out with what felt like a million pylons to mark out the race at 9 in the morning. Instead of going for a run we raced through the course with our arms loaded with pylons. I think my arms were sore for a week! Walking the course a few times was great exercise but the pylons........painful little things.
This year we invited William of Orange and John Calvin to join us for the run. There were a lot of kids and they were raring to go! No one wanted to stand around in the rain....
Nicole did well too. She was also in the top of her class for the girls. She wants to do so well and gives herself a very hard time if she doesn't match up to her standards.
Matthew was first for his class! One of the smallest ones but man can that boy move! He's very proud of his accomplishment.

We were hoping for sunny weather. At the beginning of the week the forecast was for clear sunny skies but.....we were not to get that! Rain it was. The plan was for the schools to stay after the race, eat some lunch and then play some games. But it rained, a lot!
......................and they're off!
Now Linda and I had to go through the course again to make sure the course was back to it's normal state. Then it was off to the school to clean the pylons, put everything away and ..........
.........warm up in Linda's hot tub! A perfect way to end the run!
