Abbotsford Rotary Stadium
Both Nicole and Matthew went to the Quad School Track Meet this year. It's a Grade 6 and 7 meet.
Nicole:
Long Jump - 3rd
Triple Jump - 1st
High Jump - no placement
100m Sprint - 3rd
4X100m Relay - 2nd
Long Jump - 1st
Triple Jump - 4th
Ball Throw - no placement
1600m Distance Run - 4th
Matthew prefers a longer run!
Matthew just could not get around this kid. He kept blocking Matthew no matter which way he went, inside or outside. It's just lucky that Matthew didn't get tripped up because of it.
Oh boy, a little bit of a problem. The pass between the girl ahead of Nicole and Nicole was a tad bit messy.....they dropped it. Nicole picked it up and ran like she's never run before! She meant business and ended up catching up to the girl in front of her. Credo came in second but were disqualified...there was great confusion as to what was to happen when the baton is dropped. They were given the 4th place ribbon but the next day were told that they had indeed finished in 2nd. Because the baton was dropped and picked up by the right person within the exchange zone they were not disqualified after all and therefore ended up in 3rd. They would have blown the other schools away if there wasn't a fumble.... Oh man did Nicole ever feel bad and totally blamed herself. It wasn't just her fault, it was a messy transfer and that takes 2. Lesson learned that's for sure!
