Nicole was working on the last pot of raspberry jam at home and since it was raspberry picking season we went to pick some to make more jam. We had so much fun last year that we decided to do it again this year only this time we took some friends along. The Hoogstra family came with us this year. The kids did such a fabulous job of picking that it went so fast and in less than an hour we had all the berries we needed and more!
Here we are on our way to patch 'C' to pick the berries. The weather wasn't too sunny so it wasn't too hot then either! Great berry picking weather.
The PICKERS! Nicole, Abigail, Natalie, Jake, Georgia, Matthew and Gillian.

There were a few animals to entertain the kids while I waited in the line-up to pay for our berries. The petting zoo was closed but they pet the donkey anyway!
The end result of our hour long hard work! It's just beginning for me....now I have to make an awful lot of jam... Some of these berries were for the Hoogstras but we took the majority of it home!
After we were done at the berry farm we stopped by Ralph's Farm Market for a little treat to reward the hard work done by all. An treat at the new ice-cream stand.
Pulling the load to be weighed and purchased!

Those raspberries look yummy! I guess we shouldn't let your kids into the yard up front here...they'll never get out. But they might get the song done!
Nice raspberry & ice cream pix!
