Pit Lake - March 20, 2011

Linda and Matt called to see if we wanted to go boating with them. The weather forecast was for mostly sunny skies. It looked as if we would have a lovely day. So off we went. We headed out to Pit Lake where we met up with Linda and Matt.

Jake found his own special spot at the end of the boat while Matthew, William and Jeffrey found the front seat!

Nicole was in her own little world with her camera.

Once we found a nice sheltered little beach we started a fire and the kids were off to explore.....after I took the chance to get some pictures of the kids before they ran off.

We did lots of catching up, exploring, fishing and just plain fun.

Matthew and William were off on their own and kind of left Jeffrey out but Jake, the big cousin, took over and kept Jeffrey quite busy!

Auntie Linda is a veteran boater and had a fun little stash of colouring and activity books. Nicole was happy they were there! She found her own little special table.

As I said, William and Jeffrey were off and about looking for one adventure after another.

I pretty much parked myself by the fire and relaxed!

Of course we had spider dogs for dinner! They were so very delicious! The first 'dogs' of the year are always the best!

After the kids had their fill of hot dogs they went off for yet another adventure. What a spectacular view!

........and some more fishing!

Matt........and the kids, set up a fishing rod. All of a sudden it was moving. I've never seen Matt run so fast! They finally had their catch of the day!

Matt explained to the kids the way to catch and release a fish safely back on it's way.

William and Matthew, partners in crime and great buds!

Nicole was determined to catch another one but no such luck.

Then it was back onto the boat back home! More big waves and crazy rides!

Thanks Linda and Matt for a fabulous day at the lake! We really, really enjoyed ourselves!
