Crow!

Never thought we would be excited about a crow, ever, but we are!  This baby crow fell out of the huge tree we have in our yard.  It was looking and sounding pretty sad.  I didn't notice it but as the kids came in the back yard after getting off the bus they saw or rather heard, the crow.  

Of course the felt that the baby crow was hungry so they set off to find some worms for it.

Jake fed it, a lot of worms.

This is the tree that it fell out of.  Not sure how high up the nest is but it's a huge tree.  I don't think it broke anything, looked like it was moving around okay.  Mama bird didn't like us so close as she was pretty noisy!

What did we do with it you ask?  A friend happened to stop by that evening, heard we had a crow, had a very interesting story to share with us about telling his daughter he would get her a crow sometime, so he took the crow home for her!
