Dad's big helper! - October 9, 2010

Dave's next step in our demo/reno was to remove the old hardwood flooring in our bedroom. It was a squeaky floor that drove Dave nuts every time someone walked across it. Me being half deaf was not bothered by the squeaks. When we ordered the hardwood we planned the bedroom in. The only problem was that it would be a huge job to rip out the old stuff. It was the old style, 1.5 inch wide pieces that had 2 little nails every 15 cm or so. It was a HUGE job to say the least. 8 hours of back breaking work. Matthew was not going to be left out on the floor demo this time. He had his tools, Dave taught him what to do and off he went for hours. He slaved away beside his dad and really was a big help. There is really no doubt in our minds that Matthew will be a very hard worker one day and it will be in some sort of trade!
