Happy Birthday Matthew!

I think Matthew has had more birthdays away from home than he has at home.  Matthew turned 11 at Elwha Dam near Port Angeles, Washington, USA. 

We carted his gifts from one campsite to the next and finally he was allowed to open them.

A soccer ball is what he wanted....

.....and you can't go golfing without a glove.  Too bad it was a tad bit too small.  Oh well, when we get back we'll get a bigger one.

We had gone into town the day before to get a cake.  Matthew looked through the book to find a picture to put on the cake.  When he saw the Canucks logo that was the one it had to be.  The lady in the store suggested a SeaHawk and was surprised when he said Canucks instead.  She had no idea who that was!  No American football fan here!  Hockey all the way man! 

He blew all the candles out....not one girlfriend!
