August 13-14, 1014
Like I said in the last post, the weather wasn't the best for this part of our trip. I hadn't been down to the water yet since arriving at Fort Townsend State Park. Dave, the boys and I went for a little walk down to the water.
On our way down we found many huge slugs.....this one was probably at least 10 cm long! Really kind of yuck and neat at the same time.
The trees are so tall!
It was foggy on the water. Made for some scenic shots.
None of them hit the boat....
The mill that made the air stink once in a while depending on what direction the wind was blowing.... It looked kind of spooky.
Thistles....mean and pretty at the same time.
The park was quite small and there wasn't a lot to explore so we played a lot of games and the boys did a bit of biking. Of course our boys managed to find a jump....
One of the nights while Rob & Marnie and Dave & I played yet one more game of cards the kids watched the Lego movie. They got all cozy with blankets on their chairs.
Dave and Rob had hoped to go golfing one day but the weather didn't cooperate with them. So, Dave took the boys to a little course in town.
Here they are, my golfing boys!
Matthew was pretty excited to get to use his new clubs!
Who's Dave flirting with now?
Why of course, little Miss Brooklyn!
This ended up being our last night here. We decided to go home a day early because the weather didn't look like it was going to clear up and we didn't know what to do at camp for another wet and rainy day.
