The reno has begun! Dave began it all by taking the baseboards off.
The real reno began on August 15, 2010 when the walls really did come tumbling down. We couldn't have picked a hotter day in the summer, so the sweating has begun too.

Everyone wanted to be a part of the action.
I was especially happy to put my dent in the walls!
Matthew was the most excited I think. He has been measuring and figuring things out for months now. Ever since we said we were going to be doing our reno he has been anticipating the fun. He is all about tools and was ready to put his own personal tools to the test. He wasn't going to miss any part of it!
Not only has the sweat begun........the mess has too!

Matthew got right into it! Dave had to be creative to find jobs to keep Matthew busy. That way maybe he wouldn't talk and ask so many questions. Too much fun for our little boy.
The first wall to come down was the wall between the kitchen and the living room. So nice to have the open concept. We're very excited to finally get to visualize the plan.
